The horizontal bagging systems

Polyvalent machines.

The horizontal bagging machines are used to pack all products in a sealed plastic film that cannot be filled in the forming tube of a vertical bagging system. Like the vertical bagging machines, they work from a film bobbin that wraps the product to be packed whereas the final packing is obtained with one longitudinal sealing and a double transversal sealing. The role of the horizontal bagging machine consists of unrolling the film, automatically ensuring the sealing.

Fields of application

The horizontal bagging machines are, above all, used in the following cases:

• Fragile pastry
• Sensitive products
• Müsli and cereals
• Fruit and vegetables in small bowls or cups
• Biscuits, cones, waffles and similar products
• Products with variable or hard to determine expiry dates: sausages, pieces of meat, bread or pastries
• Pieces of undefined or fragile form

Well adapted to the food industry, these efficient machines are divided into several categories according to the products.

The possible work cycles among the models vary between 45 and 450 packings per minute for products with or without small cup or bowl. These work cycles also depend on the length of the products.

Feeding can be automatic or manual.
